PSP Store Guide

Here at Cheap PSP Games we only recommend the best UK online retailers which have been tried and tested by our staff. On this page we review each of our retailers and tell you why we think they are a good and reliable company to shop with.

GAME (GAME.co.uk)

Our first retailer on the list is GAME. Being one of the UK’s largest retailers for everything games related including PSP, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS. With over 400 high street stores UK wide along with a rather impressive website featuring almost every game, console and accessory you could think of with a high level of stock for each.

With extremely fast delivery along with cheap (often free) delivery methods you’d be hard pushed to beat them. They also have a impressive reward scheme which gives you points for every purchase you make giving you money off future purchases, free game anyone?

GAME has never once let any of our staff down and is always quick to deliver our games in top condition with excellent support should anything go wrong.

Our verdict 5/5.

GameStation (GameStation.co.uk)

Next on our list is GameStation. Currently one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers of games with 200 + stores nationwide with more opening soon along with an extremely user friendly website. Stocking all game formats but especially good with the PSP. Also offering pre-owned if you feel like saving a few pounds.  Often with good multi-buy deals on games and console bundles to help you save even more money.

With fast and efficient delivery along with friendly, helpful support staff it is fast becoming a staff favorite for our games and console purchases. The only letdown is no reward scheme, however the excellent deals to be had more than makes up for this fault.

Our staff have never had any issues with GameStation and feel you will also be impressed by this retailer.

Our verdict 4/5.

Gameplay (Gameplay.co.uk)

Third is Gameplay. In all honesty there is not much to say about Gameplay except cheap prices, good offers, fast and free delivery with some good customer service thrown in when things do go wrong (Only issue we had was the Royal Mail’s fault not Gameplays). If you’d like to know more check out their site (link provided) however all our staff highly recommend them.

Our verdict on Gameplay 3/5.

HMV (HMV.co.uk)

Our fourth is of course HMV. With 200 stores, one in most high streets nationwide and one giant, user friendly website they are a rather impressive retailer. With their first store opening way back in July of 1921 they have been around a long time, although obviously not stocking games since then (maybe of the board variety?).

So the highlights of HMV are outstanding customer service, a wide selection of games and the chance to pick up some cheap dvd’s (Blu-ray maybe) or music while you buy your next game of course, oh and also the excellent deals! Only let down is delivery taking slightly longer than usual lately, not sure if this is HMV or the carrier companies yet though. We really love HMV.

They also have an excellent fast and cheap delivery (as with all out merchants) and as we’ve said come highly regarded by our staff.

Our verdict on HMV 4/5!

Play.com (Play.com)

Our fifth on the list is Play.com. Another merchant with outstanding service, good cheap prices and a quick (2 - 3 day) and free delivery. They really are becoming the giants of the online retail world (possibly bigger than Amazon now?) and its the free and efficient delivery getting them that reputation. However our only disappointment is their help can be rather slow at times, taking up to a week for an email response, solution to this is give them a call though, pretty simple really.

Our verdict 5/5, great company.

ASDA (ASDA.co.uk)

Sixth is the retail giant ASDA. Frankly if your from the UK and don’t know who ASDA are we have to ask where you’ve been hiding for the past 20 years? Founded in 1965 with a staggering 340 + stores (21 + of which are supercenters) nationwide you cant exactly say you haven’t seen them. You name it and you can probably buy it on their site.

However what we care about is their PSP games of which they have plently with some pretty good prices too! Chuck is some great customer service and cheap as well as fast delivery and you’ve got yourself a pretty good deal. Just be quick as prices can change overnight!

Our verdict 5/5.
