Brio devise a new kind of evil – a text-messaging, do-anything device which controls both mutant and bandicoot minds. Armed with his quick-wits and lightening agility, Crash must free his friends, the titans and save the day!
There has also been a list of new features announced including the ability to control your enemies and also store and upgrade them in Crashes new pocket device, new ways to explore, new co-partner ‘Coco’ who is actually Crash’s sister - playable for the first time ever, a new and improved roll and counter combat system, the ability to dig and finally a new climbing ability.
The game is going to release on the PSP, PS2, Wii, DS and Xbox 360 formats.

Browse the Internet and play online
In our first hints and tips article we guide you through the process of getting your PSP connected to the Internet via the use of a Wi-Fi network.
Why would I want to?
The answer is simple, it opens up some impressive features of the PSP and makes the experience a lot more enjoyable. It allows you to access the Internet from the comfort of your armchair or from a Wi-Fi network anywhere in the world. How about playing your latest game online against other players around the world? Yup it can be done if you connect your PSP to the net! It also allows you to access content on your PlayStation 3 if you wish to.
Requirements:
What do you need to get your PSP connected to the Internet?
Firstly you need the latest PSP firmware however version 2.00 or above is sufficient. The next thing you need is a Wi-Fi network which can be your own wireless home network, a friends or a local Wi-Fi hot spot.
Let’s get started
Ok so you have the requirements now what?
Go to the main menu or home as it’s known (Use the home button if you’re in-game) and go to Settings > Network Settings then select Infrastructure Mode. Choose Scan to search for the Wi-Fi network you wish to use, you can also choose to enter the network address manually if you wish to do so.
Selecting Auto-Select will mean the PSP will try to connect to your most recently used network each time you wish to use it online, while using Quick Scan will find local networks each time you wish to connect obviously easiest if you travel a lot.
Choose your network and enter your password if required.
Your PSP can now access the Internet!
Now you’re connected
Good job getting it connected. We advise you to take these quick steps to help you get the most out your PSP while online.
First lets enable Flash Player for all your web browsing and media content, allowing you to view videos and animations. We do this by going to the Main Menu (home) > Settings > System Settings and then you just follow the on screen instructions to complete the setup.
Note: Flash Player may already be enabled if you have the latest firmware.
Next we are going to enable WMA Playback as this requires an Internet connection and will prove useful in the future if you wish to play Windows Media files.
We do this by one again going to the Main Menu (home) > Settings > System Settings and selecting Enable WMA Playback. Accept the user agreement and hit Ok.
The System may ask you to select your Wi-Fi connection at this stage, once you select your connection it will Auto-Connect, at the successful screen close the browser (O button > Yes). The system now visits the Windows Media page and enables WMA Playback once the message displays telling you it was successful hit the O button to go back to the main menu.
Great! Now you can view Flash content and play WMA files on your PSP, it just keeps getting better.
Worried about security?
If you’re a parent and don’t want your child having access to the Internet you’ll want to enable password protection for the Wi-Fi connection.
This is called the Internet Browser Start Control and can be accessed by going to the Main Menu (home) > Settings > Security Settings select the Internet Browser Start Control and hit the X button. The system will now ask for a password which by default is 0000 (use the down arrow to select each zero and hit the right arrow to select the next) hit the X button once you have entered the default your password, then select On and hit the X button to confirm.
Now you need to change the default password so your child can’t guess it. Once again go to the Main Menu (home) > Settings > Security Settings and select Change Password. The system will now ask you to enter the old password (0000 by default), once you’ve done this select a new 4-digit password (use the up and down arrows to select each number and hit the right arrow to select the next) hit the X button once you have choose your password and select Yes, hit the O button at the success screen to go back to the Security menu.
Good now your child can’t access the Internet without you entering the password you choose.
Have Fun!
Good, you’ve managed to get your PSP online and set it up to make the most of any media you may stumble on while you browse, you even made it secure so your children are kept safe.
Enjoy the Internet on your PSP and have fun with it.

Pata, Pata, Pata, Pon!
Just one of the catchy beats from this highly addictive mix of strategy, music and unusual gameplay. Developed by the same team that made LocoRoco it was obvious from the first announcement that this game would be something different and boy were we right!

So whats the story I hear you ask? You (the player) are the Patapon’s Lord, yes they look like eyeballs with arms and legs, and have returned to aid them in their battle against the evil Zigotos the race they have fought for years. The game seems pretty simple on the surface, you drum 4 different commands to advance, attack, defend and retreat while keeping to the beat. This however quickly changes the longer you play as you uncover a detailed strategy game, allowing you to create units, squads and arm them with over 100 different types of weapons and shields. One of the most important factors is timing as you drum the commands, 10 consecutive commands starts a fever mode which allows you to hit harder and defend a lot better! however miss a beat and this mode will be instantly lost.

At its core Patapon is a resource management game in which what you collect in battle and then convert via mini games allows you to turn your average army into a killing machine. This however has its flaws of course as it leads to the inevitable re-running of levels to collect more resources and visiting the ‘hunting’ level more than a few times. In all honesty though retracing steps was more fun than anything, not a chore like it is in most games.

The main flaw of this game overall is how addicting it really is, we’ve been unable to put this down for weeks! Also how silly you look chanting the drum beats everywhere you go.
Our score:-
9/10
The Good…
+ Unique gameplay
+ Catchy music
+ Highly addictive
+ Many hours of gameplay
The Bad…
- Replaying levels
- Looks you get in public as you sing along
- May be hard to play other games for a while

On the game front there’s not many big releases until winter 2008 with April appering to be one of the quietest months, however that of course does not mean we should all sit board as there are plenty of games to play up until the next releases (worth playing) in may. Just check out our top 5 for recommendations!

Top 5 Games
1. God of War: Chains of Olympus
In God of War, Kratos, after being deceived into killing his wife and daughter, denounced his service to Ares. In order to seek absolution from his past sins, the Ghost of Sparta pledged himself as a champion to the Gods for the years to follow - these brutal crusades, in the name of Olympus, became legendary throughout the ancient world.
In God of War: Chains of Olympus, Kratos will journey to lands that no mortal has ever walked upon. With the world plunged into eternal darkness and the Gods rendered powerless, Kratos will face the most feared creatures of Greek Mythology, and ultimately be forced to choose between his own personal redemption and saving the ancient world from certain destruction.
2. Patapon (Our Review)
For years the Patapon tribe has lived in the desolate frontier, driven from their home by the evil Zigoton army. Behind the Patapons’ cute exterior, lies a fierce warrior spirit that can only be commanded by the beat of their God’s war drum. The Patapons wait for the day that the “Almighty” will return, to lead them against their enemies and bring them back to their homeland. Finally, the Patapon’s wait has come to an end as the drums of war are heard once again.
3. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is a new game in the Grand Theft Auto series with an entirely new storyline, new missions and gameplay that brings an unprecedented experience to mobile gaming. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories features the interactive, open environment of Vice City with professional voice talent, a diverse soundtrack and high production values that have become trademarks of this landmark series.
4. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008
With the Pro Evolution Soccer series renowned for its fluid, realistic gameplay, the new game builds on the implementation of Teamvision with additional key advances. As with previous releases since its inception in 1996, the ball is again treated as a separate entity, with the timing of shots entirely down to the player, while the new AI ensures that defenders work to close down space and block efforts on goal. Similarly, distribution of passes works along the same lines, with players using the space available to them to switch the ball. Close control has also been enhanced with more control when dribbling the ball, and a number of subtle moves added to bypass defenders and move the ball into space.
5. Final Fantasy II (2)
Final Fantasy IIis the ultimate revival of the second game in a phenomenon. Remastered exclusively for the PSP system, this all-new edition features updated character art, updated graphics, new dungeons, full 16:9 widescreen presentation and an updated camera view that gives players a new vantage point on such a timeless classic RPG.
In Final Fantasy II, a malevolent emperor has called upon monsters from a demonic realm to take over the world, ending what seemed to be an eternal period of peace. From the destruction rise four young survivors who will take it upon themselves to stop the merciless ruler and avenge the death of their parents.
